Meat Loaf

How I do love meat loaf. I made this for my recipe collection (4-H project).

Silly Squirrel!

He slips and looses his hold, and ends up hanging up-side-down.

He came again today, and now you can see how he does it.

He eventually succeeds getting to the top, and then hung down to get to the seeds.

Yesterday a squirrel tries to get at the bird feeder.

Sports Camp

This spring break our church held a "sports camp." I volunteered as an "assistant coach" along with quite a few others. I was surprised of the number of volunteers that had come.
I was impressed and encouraged at the leader training. We were taught to be outstanding, or standing out from the crowd, and it I have to admit that it was quite a challenge.
I have before helped at a VBS, at Grace Community Church, and let me tell you that it had no heart as did the sports camp that I just participated in. Yes they told Bible stories, but that isn't evangelistic. Unless you share the gospel, (which includes God creating a perfect world and how He created man in His own image, and that when man sinned, that sin separated man from God) there is no gospel. Well, back on track, this VBS, now that I look back on it, hardly reflected Christ, but just seemed that they were just trying to be "a fun and safe place to be."
The sports camp "training" was challenging for me, but it is what we should all be able to do: step out of your comfort-zone and tell others about the gospel. I challenge everyone to not only be the visible presence of God, but to also be the verbal presence. Proclaim the gospel to all the earth.

My Snowman After Three Days

After three days of warm weather, and the feet of a neighbor friend, my snowman still stands!

PS. I have decided that the three segments of a snowman will officially be called. The Head, the Thorax, and the Abdomen. :)

Today's Sermon: Revelation 12

Please read Revelation 12:1-17 before you go on.

Today our pastor gave his sermon on Revelation Chapter 12. It was very thought provoking, and thus I wish to share some points with you.
Satan is waging war on this world, which has been going on throughout the ages. Satan is very angry, because he knows he has already lost the battle (verse 12) and is out to wreck havoc on those who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (verse 17). All people are on a side, by default if not by choice. (2 Timothy 2:26 and John 8:31-47) Those who are saved have experienced a kingdom transfer. (Colossians 1:11-14) We do not have to fear, though, for we know that God wins. (1 Corinthians 15:20-28 and Revelation 19:6)

My Thoughts on the Rebelution

The Rebelution is a teenage rebellion against the low expectation that this culture has for teenagers, which is very unbiblical. Setting higher standards to which we strive to attain. Throwing away what is worthless and worldly and sinful. Going above and beyond the call of duty. Not just trying to be a christian, but to strive to be more Christ like. We as children of God should serve God with all our heart and soul and mind. Why should we care what others think of us? What we should care about is what others think of God. As image bearers we should try to our utmost to reflect Him. Of course we fall and sin, but we should pick ourselves back up and try even harder. We must keep in mind, though, that we can do nothing without Him. We are miserable failures, but with His strength, we can become heroes of the faith, encouraging others to join in the fight. An attitude of humility must be constantly upheld, lest we become arrogant and think ourselves better Christians than so-and-so.
To sum it all up, it's continually striving to better reflect Christ through your actions, words, and even appearance.
Here are some good passages backing up the Rebelution.

Curled Hair

Rosie tries to hide her curled hair from the camera.

3rd Day of Spring

To the side: Rosie's snowman from yesterday
In the middle: My snowman...or should I say snowbear. :)

It's hard to see in this picture, but this is a snowkangaroo made by Susannah

We woke up this morning to find snow covering the ground. I promptly went out to make a snowman (snowbear) before the snow melted.
It is evening now, and no snow is left except for the three snowmen.

It snowed today, but quickly melted away. Rosie made sure that we had a snowman though.
